Check out Pratt PSPD Students Final Projects!

This Fall, Pratt PSPD’s introductory courses in City & Regional Planning and Historic Preservation focused their studies on the Lower East Side. The Historic Preservation program’s Documentation/Interpretation course worked in tandem with the Fundamentals studio to address issues focused on the needs of public housing tenants in the area, using a historic preservation lens. This past Spring, a group of students was asked to analyze the current conditions of the Wallabout neighborhood in Brooklyn, and divide into groups to address various urban issues in zoning, infrastructure, and sustainability. The following projects are the result of this exploration:
